O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee!
BANG!
The feed cuts in to ringside as for the second week in a row the crowd has their hand up to their chest. “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragon is playing in the background as The Canadian Tour Tournament prepares to begin. We cut to the announcers table with Mikey Grandel and James Clark.
Mikey: Hello everybody and WELCOME to our next great installment of the Canadian Tour Tournament. Tonight promises to be an incredible night, isn't it James?
Clark: You couldn't be more right, Michael! We have our second pairings of Canadian Tour qualifiers up in the main event and both just look stacked!
Mikey: And we can't forget about the two triple threats. There are quite a few new faces coming into these challenges and each and every participant wants to stand out. Not only that but they are vying for one of three spots in some sort of historic match up at our Tour Finale.
Clark: That's definitely amazing news and to kick off our line up, the two men that have already made it through to the semi-finals will battle it out in our card’s opener. The winner of the match will get the chance at the end of the night to choose which other semi-finalist they will take on next week.
Mikey: We now have Can-X general manager Travis Valour making his way to the ring.
Travis Valour walks out from the back to no music. He is cheered if not just by blood association with the company's owner, Angelo. He waves to the crowd with mic in hand. Two men who have not yet been seen in Can-X flank him on either side. They quickly make it to ringside. Travis climbs the steps and climbs into the ring. The two other men roll under the bottom rope. Travis has a smile on his face as he puts the mic to his mouth.
Travis: Are you ready for some Canadian X Competition!
We want Gordon! Clapclapclapclapclap! We want Gordon! Clapclapclapclapclap! We want Gordon! Clapclapclapclapclap
Travis: Okay, I get it! I can’t wait to get this party started either but I wanted, as General Manager of this beautiful company, to come out here and set the record straight. Angelo Valour (Cheers!) will not be in the building tonight. He is currently down in Boston helping out with the training of a new group of wrestlers. That means that everything that goes down tonight goes down under my watch. Ladies and Gentlemen I regret to inform you that due to such a busy schedule by my brother, he left a small detail out for next week and I justly felt it right to fix that little mistake here in front of all of you. What better way than to promote this whole mystery match that is on the horizon for our Tour Finale Show!
Travis grins as the shouts are getting louder. Fans are chanting and this causes Travis to straighten up and back up. The two other men are leaning in opposite ropes looking at each other in the center of the ring. Travis points a hand in between them.
Travis: You see my brother decided on three triple threats to determine three men who will move on to our Finale in what he emphasized as historical. He stacked up two great triple threats which everyone will get the chance to see tonight. The plan was for one more triple threat to go on next week with he himself revealing the remainder of his plans for the Finale. The problem is… as you can see there are only two men standing here in the ring.
Travis points in the first corner wearing red wrestling pants with a single white stripe running down the leg and a pair of white wrestling boots. The man’s brown hair is slicked back as he looks intently toward the other man. Once being pointed at, he begins to pace in place as if in anticipation.
Travis: This, Ladies and gentlemen is a legend down in his neck of the woods. Here, signed full time with Canadian X is Empire State Wrestling Hall of Famer Greyson Blaze!
Fans of Blaze explode as he gets a moderate cheer. Upon his name being called, Blaze raises his fists into the air and steps forward. Travis moved his hand in the other man’s direction. He has a pair of red and white wrestling tights on. His dark hair is shaved low.
Travis: I would also like to introduce a man who is all over the Independent Circuit. This man will be another of the three men for next week’s Triple Threat Challenge…Canadian born… Eric Steel!
There is a mix of cheers and boos as Steel takes a few steps forward puts a fist up. The two men meet in the middle of the ring as Travis begins to pace around .
Travis: Now the big problem that was going on is that Angelo never made his decision over WHO the third wrestler would be. I have taken it upon myself to make that decision for him. I think I made a good choice here. I have come to the decision that there is one match up this week that deserves a chance at redemption. Two amazing highfliers will be facing off tonight as Dark Spyder and Johnny Moxie go head to head in the Canadian Tour Tournament! (Cheers!) The winner of that match will move on to the semi-finals next week and the loser has his chance to take the bull by the whores and take it for all its worth. That’s right… The man who loses that match up tonight will be the third man in this triple threat. How’s that for competition?
The crowd is causing a serious buzz as the two possible match ups play out in everyone’s head.
Travis: Both men have promised to make an impact that will turn even more heads. These men have promised me ratings and if there is one thing the Valour Family STRIVE for it is the rating baby! And TONIGHT! History will be made. Let’s get this show on the road!
The show cuts to a word from our sponsors.
