The Beginning
For some to understand the whole picture of me and John Pariah, we have to start at the beginning of my PWX career. I was wanting to come back into professional wrestling after a long break. I was also trying to regain my stature and reputation as a wrestler after my ex-girlfriend went into the pornography business and I somehow was brought into the middle of it. That part of my life was god awful and really doesn’t matter. I entered the PWX World Grand Prix tournament that they had, and well...that is where new life was breathed into my wrestling career and my life. John Pariah and I faced off a lot between now and then. Now I get a shot at another tournament and this time, the gloves are coming off. John won’t know what hit him, but my personal life seems to be clouding my judgement.
Give me the Thing that I Love
It was a cool afternoon in Dayton Ohio and Timothy Hunt wasn’t in the best of moods. Timothy was pacing the floor of his studio apartment when he heard a knock at the door. Timothy took a deep breath as he walked over to the door. The smirk crept slowly across his face when he peered out the peephole and saw who it was. Timothy unchained the door and then proceeded to open it.
“I never expected you here Ashurii.”
Ashurii Valentine is Timothy’s best friend and student of Timothy’s wrestling school in Hawaii. Ashurii moved to Dayton to wrestle for a local promotion, and was excited to hear Timothy get the job at PWX, and you could see that by the way she was jumpy and smiling. Timothy just chuckled and Ashurii rattled a few things in her hands.
“Are you ever going to let me in or am I to assume we have lunch in the hallway?”
Ashurii chuckled and held up two bags of Chinese food. Timothy moved and motioned her to come inside. Ashurii looked around with a smile on her face and Timothy closed the door. Timothy turned around to see Ashurii looking through his kitchen. Ashurii chuckled as she looked back to see Timothy just standing by the door watching her. She held up two forks and Timothy just smiled as he made his way over to her.
“You have a very nice place here Timothy. I figured that since you live in the Gem City now, I could show you around after we have our lunch. I still remembered your favorite food. Sesame chicken with some crab rangoons and a diet soda.”
Timothy motioned for her to sit on the stool at the bar and Ashurii took her seat. Timothy grabbed another stool that was across the room and as Ashurii was setting the food on the bar, Timothy sighed. Ashurii looked at him puzzled and Timothy just looked up at her.
“Why so glum Tim? This isn’t like you.”
Timothy looked over at a picture of his one month old niece. Timothy just sighed as Ashurii took his hand.
“I know you mean well Ashurii. I moved out here to hopefully make something better for my niece. I have been fighting for custody of her for over two months now. My best friend Tiami thinks I have something to do with her brother taking her daughter from her...and all this other bullshit drama that goes on in my life.”
Ashurii took a drink of her soda and Timothy just looked back over at the picture of him holding his niece when she was first born. Ashurii looked over at the same picture and smiled. Timothy noticed the evil grin and looked at Ashurii puzzled.
“I can help you get her back. I can help you start that family you always want, but you have to trust me.”
“Trust you? Of course I trust you.”
Ashurii pulled out her cell phone and made a quick phone call. Timothy took a drink of his soda as Ashurii paced the floor back and forth on the phone. Ashurii reached in her purse for a pen and paper and she wrote something down. She smiled and said her goodbyes on the phone. Timothy looked at her puzzled as she sat back down on her stool.
“What was that conversation all about?”
“Your attorney will receive a call from my attorney shortly. You will have the backup you need and you will get your niece back. I will make sure of it.”
Timothy smiled and the pair continued to eat their lunch. Ashurii looked down and saw a ticket to Canada and looked at Timothy puzzled. Timothy looked down and chuckled as he looked at Ashurii.
“I was hired by another wrestling promotion and I have a match this week in the BC Legacy Tourney this company is holding.”
Ashurii squealed in delight as she danced on the stool.Timothy chuckled and Ashurii hugged him. Timothy hugged her back and then he stood up.
“Thanks for always being a good friend Ash. You are simply amazing.”
“I am just glad you are getting your career in order. I know that you may not wrestle for much longer, but you are wanting to continue to expand your horizons. Who is your first match against in this tournament.”
“John Pariah.”
Ashurii stopped dancing and had a concerned look on her face. Timothy looked at her puzzled and Ashurii just sat down.
“Don’t worry Ash. I have wrestled John in PWX and well...we tend to bring out the best in each other. When it comes to this tournament, we know that we will be the top rated match.”
Ashurii chuckled and Timothy walked over to the sink in the kitchen. Ashurii took a drink of her soda and Timothy washed his hands of the chicken that he spilled on himself when he stood up earlier.
“I am going to win this match, and then I am going to win back my niece. She deserves better, and Nicole isn’t giving her the life she deserves.”
“I know Timothy. Right now you need to focus on your match with John. If this match is anything like your Osaka Japan match from PWX, then you two are going to tear down the house.”
Timothy dried his hands off and smiled. Timothy sat down across from Ashurii and took a drink of his soda. The two continued to talk about his match and how he could remain one step ahead of John come time for his match against him.
Miracle
So it is apparent that one day I am going to be champion somewhere. We all know that you can win any old title in the company you sign a contract for, but in my case it is more urgent. I don't have that much longer in my pro wrestling career so winning this so called 'brass ring' in a world title shot means I am going to work harder and try to survive longer in order to obtain said brass ring. No matter what, I always get the things that I desire the most. That leads me into this BC Legacy Tournament. It's funny how things can come full circle because that is how the new chapter of my career started. Now I know that one man in Canada X knows a thing or two about PWX.
What you folks fail to realize is that my opponent and I know each other. John Pariah and I have had some brutal matches in PWX and to say that I have been taken to the limit is an understatement. John has one win over me, and I have one win over him in PWX, but that was then. The past is written in the way it was for a reason. We are always to learn the lessons fate has for us from our past and our present. Some could say that I am a bit jealous of John. After all, he has the family, the career and the life that I have always wanted. But alas, I am to not have the life I want right now because it is not in my cards.
The BC Legacy Tournament is what fate has dealt me right now. John, it is unfortunate that you are my first opponent. We will steal the show yes, but I am not focused on PWX. If your woman Lilith Morgan can't give me what I want in the other company, then I will just have to take it by force here. You know what I am capable of John, but for those who are not let me clue you in. I am known as Controversy for a reason. I fight for more than just me in this tournament. I am fighting for another cause of a personal nature. So while you may think that you have this in the bank John, I fight with a new purpose. If you think what you got in Osaka was good, wait until we face each other in the ring.
You said that you were starting a new chapter of your career. That PWX was behind you, but is it really? Are you sure that you really wanted to leave PWX? I want those thoughts to go through your head as I beat you and move on in the tournament that fits me perfectly. I am here to cement my legacy in pro wrestling, and that means I have to go through you to do so. Let us steal the show Mister Pariah because this may be the only chance you get to actually prove to me that you haven't lost your man hood and spark.
