(There are people in the business known as wrestling who shame the industry, people who are content with only winning at any cost, men and women who plague the companies world wide with mediocrity and a severe lack of talent; men like the current Legacy Champion of the Canadian X. Now that it's to say the man didn't walk out of his match as the winner or the champion but rather the man who couldn't accomplish anything without someone else holding his hand the whole way. Greyson Blaze on the other hand was a raging storm of anger and irritation after the results of the match were replaying through his head time and time again throughout the days since his winning the Legacy Title... or rather since the moment just before he should have won the Legacy title. There comes a moment in everyone's lies when they become defined by the reaction they have to some difficulty in life; for Greyson it had always been living in the Shadow of his father when he learned about him, a hatred long since buried and resolved, but man is frequented by relapse over and over again. Greyson Blaze the most hated man in professional wrestling to ever step foot inside a wrestling ring a moniker earned and again well earned by the man for deeds unmentionable, well at least they are in his mind if his career is going to progress beyond public enemy number one. It was the sad and ironic truth of the matter if he had tried wrestling state side Greyson would have been forced into playing the bastard once again, the man everyone hated, and that truthfully wouldn't have bother him one bit. He made his career on being the one man who could play the long game and always come out on top, or at the very least accomplish his goals.
Greyson stopped outside of Valour's office after having a little chat with the men in charge over the outcome of his match and the resulting effect it would have on the future of Can-X before heading back to the states and his expecting fiancee, pregnant and moody. The past few months had been rough on both the man and his career, his life had become both burdened and open well his career had become lacking and pointless; so Greyson took his time after cooling off from the bastard way of losing against Starr waving off a camera and telling them later before leaving the venue.
After a few days of staying with his fiancee Greyson was back on the wagon, the proverbial bandwagon that made his famous that made him the most hated man in professional wrestling, he had a plan and his poor unfortunate opponent would never see it coming; not until it was too late. Greyson hadn't taken a flight back to the north country instead he went west in order to make plans, preparations for his future in Can-X and a bit of an insurance policy, just a little extra something to even the playing field up north.
Stallion Enterprises
Chicago, Illinois
5:30 a.m. Eastern Standard time
Greyson looks up at the logo on the front of the world headquarters of Stallion Enterprises the golden stallion in full run above the twin glass doors always sticks out in the mind when peering at it; Stallion Enterprises the home to one of the worlds lead manufacturers of wrestling and sports merchandise. They weren't open yet but that hardly mattered to Greyson as he had an appointment with the CEO and owner of the company Xain, a one time wrestler a businessman, and something else. Greyson stood looking up at the logo above the doors thinking back to the story of how this company came to be and became Xain's; it was a story for another time, but it burned into Greyson's mind the truth about the wrestling world and his part in it... he was resigned to his role to the end of his career even if...
Xain behind him looking up as well silent as ever but the build of the older Asian man was one of towering strength, he and his company shared that feature the inability to fall or fail in their endeavors.)
Xain: Greyson, this is unusual, normally it's your father that comes to pay me visits in the twilight hours, so is this a business call or is it more off the record?
Greyson: Honestly I'd love to take you up on that offer but this is business straight up business, I know you're always looking and I've got an idea you might want to look into up north they'll shattered the glass ceiling rather easily with the talent that keeps pouring in since the doors opened. Hell it looks as if Steve Sinclair has bought into it as well, the Yakamoto's have signed and we both know you love selling there merchandise. Anyways Valour is running the show and I don't think he's even considered action figures and tee-shirt sales and the like at least not seriously yet; the time couldn't be better for a little mercenary merchandising in Can-X besides business there is only picking up as the days go by.
Xain: What's the catch Greyson, this isn't your style, what is it you're really after?
Greyson: Some upstarts head on a pike....
Xain: Yeah that's more like!
Greyson: Nah I've got this number he's nothing I can't handle I just figured with the way things are in Vegas you'd have some free time on your hands and could use the new lead for the above ground businesses. Besides maybe I'll get a kick back out of this down the road when I need something in Can-X... you know me always staying ahead of my enemies.
Xain: Alright I'll carve out some time in my schedule to swing through, if I like what I see at the show I'll slip backstage and talk with Valour about a reasonable deal for merchandising, if not well I get the job done and there is nothing else.
Greyson: Really you're going to catchphrase drop on me, well I'll call you with the detail later.
Xain: How's Candic....?
Greyson: I'm not going there Xain.. just not going there.
Some arena
somewhere in Canada
at some time in the afternoon
(Greyson looks at the camera thousands of words at the tip of his tongue hundreds of thoughts formed ready to rip through the pathetic attempts of Brett Starr to glorify his failure at winning the Legacy title, his failure at beating the better man, but the truth was Greyson didn't fail and the better man won, even though he didn't take the prize home with him.)
Greyson: Fascinating...
The meteoric rise of Brett Starr to the top of the wrestling food-chain, it's almost humorous the way you think so highly of yourself Brett...
You want to style your self as the rising Starr...
That's cool kid, we all go through that awkward phase where we think we are the best thing in wrestling since the title belt was invented, but the fact is Brett I don't have to say anything to you that hasn't been said before, because frankly the only thing about you that has been rising is the disgust and contempt that you are held in by the wrestling world. And I know what you're thinking "yeah I got a reaction of everyone I won the Legacy title I'm the best in the world no one can beat me..."
Dude you need to calm down for a minute, you almost slipped off the cage and broke your neck! Great way to show the world you're the best, you didn't even win the Legacy title your ten ton Teletubby did that at my expense. Am I pissed? I've had time to think about it, collect my thoughts and decide on a course of action to take with you, and sadly boy you've gone and done some stupid shit since you walked in the door, and yeah you have won a few matches, but you haven't beaten me, you haven't even got the best of me. You try walking around Can-X as the best in the business when the only thing you have to show that is the number two title and a match you clearly lost proving why you aren't the best, suffice to say you might be walking around with my title this week but mark my words you won't be walking out of BC Legacy Tour with it, you won't even be walking out of our match with it. The gloves are coming off and you will be treated like the mid card talent you are Brett, no matter how much you walk around thinking you're the best there is or the best there was, you'll always be the no talent hack who just can't win the big ones without help. You might have stolen my title but you haven't earned it yet, and if by some chance you do win and retain my title this week I'll be there next week and the week after if you manage it, for the next 7 weeks the length of the BC Legacy Tour you will be my bitch each and every week, and when I'm done with you Starr you're going to wish you had earn the Legacy Title the right way.
I'm a wrestling purist so it's a bit condescending of me to also be this way but you'll either have finally earned the Legacy title come the BC Legacy Tour finale or you'll have been proven to by the mid carder everyone knows you to be. You talk a lot of shit and yet you don't really say a god damn thing Starr, all bark, and Can-X saw first hand just how you bite...
A bit more then you can chew actually, and now you have to pay the price for your arrogance and ignorance Starr. You like to run that mouth of yours, and it's rather shocking that you've been pretty silent since winning, since being put on display as a fail champion, you are, but this week it's not really about you Starr, you're just my bitch and you know it!
(Greyson shrugs Starr would learn, yes he would learn the same lessons Greyson had been taught, only his instructions would be far more effective and memorable.)
Greyson: Of course there is also Ms. Tiami Tyler to consider, kind of a wildcard if you will, an unknown in this match up but not a rookie with need to prove herself like Starr. I can honestly say I've heard of her briefly, but this week I'm aiming to see just how far she can go, and what she can do inside that ring. Will she shine and lay the boots to Starr like she says or will she be as lacking in talent as Starr is? Oh I'm wondering I'm waiting to see how this match goes, you see I'm a bit of a mark myself when I see a talented wrestler show up and just let loose on some jackass who thinks too highly of himself. This match this week sadly really isn't about me taking Starr's pride and burying what little of it survives the night, it's about seeing Tiami Tyler get her hands on Starr and
showing him reality... You call yourself the Revolution Tiami and frankly you've caught my attention, I want to see what you can do this week first hand. I have a feeling this match of ours is going to lead to better things...
Call it a test if you will to see if your bark is worse then your bite, or if like Starr you just talk a lot of shit with out the ability to back it up. I've nothing against you, as a matter of fact I have high hopes for you this week. And if you can make me a believer in "the Revolution".... well we'll see about it after this week.
Which brings me to the rumors of Bruise Cruise one of Empire State Wrestling's Flag ship Pay Per View events, this is something I can get behind something to work toward a good chance to increase the name of Can-X and cement my own legacy in here, so this is what I've got in mind Valour. I know you're listening so this is my proposal for Bruise Cruise I'll take the traditional match of the event against Brett Starr, any titles we have on the line no questions asked... one on one Greyson Blaze verses Brett Starr in the Bruise Cruise Specialty match... that way at least one of us will have an excuse to go...
Overboard!
(Greyson smirks as the scene fades away)
