TOP 5 WRAP SHEET
(August)
(August)
#1. "Madman" Chris Madison (Heavyweight Champion)
To say Chris Madison has had a very successful run here in Canadian X would be an understatement. Madison was one of the first few men to sign up for the Canadian Tour Tournament. He went through a gruelling month and consistently came out on top. In his first week, Madison competed in a four way dance against Cid White, Johnny Moxie and The Dark Spyder IV. Madison shocked the crowd when he took out the 278 Lbs big man with his patented flipping piledriver. He gained the his choice of competition going into his Qualifier match in the Tour Tournament. The Madman went into the following week with a vengeance and forces Cid White to tap out and lose for the second week in a row when he cinched in the Peruvian Necktie. In what was widely thought to be THE finals match of this tournament ended up becoming a semi final classic as Chris Madison and Pat Gordon Jr. squared off for the final spot at the Tour Finale. Pat Gordon gave it everything he had but fell just short with Madison and the Tour Finale Main Event was set. Chris Madison walked into the Finale with passion in his eyes and he walked out as the First Ever Canadian X Heavyweight Champion. Madison has honestly earned his spot at the top.
#2. Brett Starr (Legacy Champion)
This man is another of the opening roster who has turned heads each and every week. He signed a contract with CanX just short of being able to participate in the Tour Tournament but has gone undefeated all month long. Starr happily accepted a challenge for the premier episode against Killgrave and surprised everybody by outsmarting him and causing him to be counted out. Starr would hit our second episode with a mindset of manipulation when he convinced everybody that he didn't want to be a part of his upcoming triple threat. He used this to his advantage and snuck in at the end and rolled Killgrave up for the win. Travis Valour was not happy with this and forced Starr to put his spot in the Canadian classic Cage match at the Finale on the line the following week. Brett Starr once against proved his talent when he sent Cid White crashing through a table and cementing his spot in the Legacy Championship bout. Starr went into the tour Finale and the Canadian Classic Cage match and endlessly went to war with Greyson Blaze and Leon Stone inside the unforgiving metal. Starr once again seemed to have an ace up his sleeve as a masked man (who he claims he doesn't know) screwed Greyson Blaze out of a well deserved victory. Regardless, Brett Starr is moving into the BC Legacy Tour as the first ever Canadian X Legacy champion. With the challenges ahead... will he be able to HOLD ON to that belt he oh so loves?
#3. "Superb" Dick Fury
This man, though a heel in nature, is one man that almost everybody loves. He even caught the eye of newly revealed Board of Directors member Chamber. Dick Fury quickly proved he has what it takes to be in the Main Event scene in CanX when he took on the current Exodus Pro San Diego Bay Champion, Sylar Drake in his Preliminary match up for the Tour Tournament. With dirty handed tactics and a handful of tights, Fury was the first to move on to the next round in the Tour tournament. Dick Fury had what could have been a classic bout with Pat Gordon JR the following week which saw Dick trick the referee into distraction allowing him to smash Pat's face into an exposed turnbuckle to pull out the win. Later that evening he had his choice of who he would face in the semi-finals which would end up doing wonders for him. The semi-final night came along and Fury took on Johnny Moxie and proved to everybody why he wants the Heavyweight belt when he decisively took the win. The only thing that could have sent this man's name into the number one spot in the loss he took to Chris Madison at the Tour Finale. Dick Fury gave it everything he had and didn't even tap out to the Peruvian Necktie. The referee was forced to stop the match as Fury had gone unconscious. Is there any other reason needed to have this man in the Main Event in 4 weeks? Not really... thats reason enough for me.
#4. Greyson Blaze
Greyson Blaze is only two weeks into his Canadian X career but has already gotten the attention of everyone around him. On our third instalment of the Canadian Tour Tournament we watched as he battled Seth More and Eric Steel in a match up to capture a spot in the first ever Canadian Classic Cage Match. He sealed a decisive victory over his two adversaries and was focused for that Legacy Championship. There was one man who simply got one over on him the following night when he was screwed out of his victory in what was easily the Match of the Night. Greyson Blaze showed his veteran skill and brought everybody around him to their limits. With only two weeks of history made, what other waves will this man make?
#5. Pat Gordon JR.
This man is easily a fan favourite to the entire Canadian X fan base. Win or lose this man brings his all and puts on a show. Pat Gordon danced with Mr. Rottentreats in out first ever Main Event. He earned himself a spot in the semifinals two weeks from that day. He closed the show with his hands up in victory. He was unfortunate enough to be the victom of a cheated victory by Dick Fury the following weeks but the determination could still be seen in his eyes. Pat Gordon wanted to take his shot when he was set to face Chris Madison on the semifinal night in yet another Main Event bout. These two men went to war for over 40 minutes and created an instant classic which has now set the bar for every Main Event to come. Although Pat lost he was the first to accept the challenge brought on by Cid White earlier in the night and still had a high calibre match t the Tour Finale... That is IF it had been able to happen. Pat Gordon was relentlessly assaulted by the big man Cid White early on in the show and the match was forced to be cancelled. Pat would later emerge at the end of the show revealed as one of two men that will compete for the Heavyweight Championship in four weeks.
