(Greyson Blaze waves at the irate and screaming Brett Starr before turning and disappearing backstage just before Starr is leveled inside the ring, Legacy Title draped over his shoulder he makes a quick stop to grab his bag from the locker room and sign for one of the camera man back stage to follow him. After a few minutes he stands outside of the Dawson Creek Memorial Arena waiting for his limousine to pull up.)
Greyson: Brett Starr by now the arena staff and on hand med staff are scraping you off of the mat and checking to make sure you're still breathing, seeing if you can tell them how many fingers they're holding up, and checking to see if you have a concussion. Serious business mind you but not the thing you'll be focusing on, I suppose I could be low and petty like yourself and start by saying something cliche like "Do I have your attention now?" But honestly I don't need your attention boy, in fact you need mine, because I've taken back something that you have never earned, taken from you the very thing that turned you from a mid card wrestler into the "Flake of the Week". Hell I just did your career a favor by taking away your "precious"...
Title belt, I mean you went from a guy who looked promising to a man who looked like shitty stand up comedy routine last week, all self respect and legitimacy went right out the fucking window with you. I saved your career by taking my title back from you, hell I probably saved your life when I laid Tiami Tyler out cold. She just might have killed you if I hadn't interceded; I mean I'm a big fan of Tiami's work here, I'm shocked she didn't put you away sooner, I mean the whole woman scorned thing and all that. But let's face it Brett you owe me now two now... one for saving you from Tiami and one for me saving you from yourself; of course you'll just be your usual self and play it off as me just trying to put some kind of last ditch effort into saving my career. A career mind you that hasn't even reached it's peak yet a career that not only overshadows your own, but is the one thing holding you back in Can-X now. You want to be the greatest wrestler ever you want to be this Shooting Star, that's fine by me, you do that; but I'll be damned if some upstart rookie that can't win a title on his own merits is going to tarnish the name, honor, and reputation of a sport I have bled for, fought for, and damn near died for, a sport I continue to give everything for day in day out. You want to insult me that's cool boy, I've dealt with tougher men and women then you've ever known in that ring, but the one thing I will drill into that thick skull of yours by the time I let you hold this title once again is that the business comes before the wrestler.
You can make them hate you, but you don't have what it takes to make them loath you to no end, you are just a sad excuse for a 3rd string villain, and that in itself is an insult to me personally, you tarnish the hard work of every man and woman that has ever aspired to be The Heel of their company. But let us move on from this, let's just let you dwell on the facts Brett... I told you point blank that you would not leave with the Legacy Title that I would be taking it from you tonight... and unlike you I followed through on my world once again. You may hold a single win over me, but you haven't bested me, in fact you have only helped to prove which of us has be right week in week out; and it isn't you my reluctant foe. You wanted to dodge me and run and hide from a feud with one of the prime wrestlers in the world today, which only goes to show how much of a gutless coward and third string wrestler your truly are.
Of course the irony in all of this is yet again you have maintained your undefeated streak here in the CXP but that is only a small thing when you can count the wins on one hand. Now for the moment I'll let it rest at that as I have places to be and things to do which ironically don't involve the so called Legacy Champion Brett Starr but it just might involve a little role playing with the Legacy Championship Belt!
(Greyson turns from the camera as his limo pulls up and the door opens, he prepares to get in as he stops and looks at the lone occupant of his limo, a slender built masked figure of effeminate proportions. Greyson stops short and shakes his head no as the cameraman makes a hasty retreat leaving Greyson to leave the arena in peace.)
Greyson: No, I don't need a manager, much less one of your reputation.
(The masked manager leans into view a simple theater mask covering the face and a physical expression of why not plainly visible.)
Greysopn: First of all your name is fucking ridicules, no one is going to take a manager seriously who is called Feedback, and secondly aren't you supposed to be the manager of my sister as she continues to ruin my reputation under that ridicules mask calling herself Aphonic?
(The manager Feedback slides over a bit tot he edge of the limo's seat putting feet on the pavement.)
Feedback: First of all you and I both know Char won't be wrestling anytime in the near future with that injury she got going through that table last month, and secondly what's wrong with my name? It fits like a glove Grey and I didn't hear you complaining.
Greyson: Well you weren't my manager just helping to ruin my reputation with my sister peddling a lie about being me while I was inactive, and I still get shit about "my manager" Feedback all the god damn time, it's a stupid fucking name if you even think for a moment I'm going to let you sign on to manage me with that name you're out of your fucking mind, I'd just as soon hire Lindsay Starr for the job. God at least that would get the right kind of heat out of having a manager around not flack and bullshit over a name and a mouth that never stops running. Secondly I don't work well with a manager... and don't even think of bringing up Candice, finance's don't count even if they were managers, besides she's pregnant and expecting next weekend. I've got a shit load of bs on my plate right now and that isn't even taking in consideration the other BS I'm messing around with on top of all of it.
Feedback: Fine I get it, you've got too much shit going on to take on a manager to help fix your schedule and keep your shit straight I get it you're an even bigger prick now then you ever were when you were just a model. Still no room in your busy life for someone who can help you out, just like when we were both models Grey, we did our best work together and both our careers were better for it. Why does it have to be any different now, we make a great team Grey?
(Greyson turns to walk away but Feedback grabs his arming pulling him back around.)
Feedback: Greyson just think about it, what do you have to lose, besides it's a long ways to your next event here and there is so much to be done between now and then you could use a reliable old friend to lighten the load for you. Damn it Greyson Blaze Nathanial Wa...
Greyson: It's just Greyson Blaze, I changed it...!
Feedback: What?
Greyson: I wanted to be my own man, have my own legacy, and not be named even remotely after that bastard let alone have his middle and last name... I just couldn't bare the weight of being compared to him especially after I crippled him. I'm not the quiet hero like my father tended to be even when he was the worst of villains in the ring. I'm not anything like him, and I wanted my name to reflect that so I changed it after we fought... Damn it just slide over I'm not going to stand here rehashing all this shit, you want to grill me do it later and come up with a better name for Christ sake because I won't even consider it as long as you go around calling yourself feedback...it sounds like a hookers name.
(Feedback laughs before sliding over to let Greyson into the limo.)
(The following morning Greyson stood inside the ring of his training gym back in the states on the property he acquired from his father, a couple hundred acres of land with as much character to it as the legacy his father made for himself during his career had. A cabin on a lake with a small cliff sporting a waterfall, acres upon acres of woods and fields for whatever use the mind could imagine, the old warehouse converted into a training facility and housing which Greyson had spent the better part of the last five years resorting and fixing himself to add to his physical training and mental agility. As much as he hated his father, this little chunk out of the country was as close to home as Greyson could get as he continued to train and build upon his career as a wrestler. The training ring was the place Greyson new best, or rather the inside of the wrestling ring in general was; it had become his home, his life, his every breath, his heart and soul were inside the ring and for him it wasn't just about having a career, it was part of who he is, in fact nearly all of him.)
Greyson: So I come to find out that not only do I get to lay the boots to Brett Starr once again this week, but not only that I also get to put a "Madman" in his place as well... Almost makes me feel all fuzzy and nostalgic for the night I ended my old man's career, and ended up putting myself on the shelf for a few months as well. But honestly Chris Madison really isn't all that much of a "Mad Man" in fact he is one half of Can-X's undefeated champions, one half of the two men here who have not lost a single match since signing on, impressive in some circles that not one but two men could work the same promotion and both be undefeated. A point I bring up purely for the irony that one of these men, can't maintain his undefeated streak on his own merits, and this week will in fact end the question that has been slowly circulating around Can-X since I arrived, who will stop these two men from going undefeated, who can stop the companies champions? A question that will not only be answered this week, but will be answered without so much as a doubt to who that man shall be. These two guys are the top tier right now in Can-X the World and Legacy Champions, but only one of these men earned it, or did he... hell it doesn't really matter, there is a hell of a lot that could be said about both men in all seriousness but I'm not one for playing up my opponent in fact for the time being I'm just going to leave it at that Madison is an opponent and fact is I believe my assigned partner this week has something he wants to address in regards of the man, seeing as he is more or less a contender for that fancy World title belt. Unlike myself I'm not willing to take the World title belt and bring it home just yet, as I have plans for my Legacy title and the so called champion Brett Starr who hasn't earned his championship reign yet. Of course when I'm done with Starr and ready to trade in the Legacy title the whole of Can-X will know it and whoever is totting around the World Title then will be given fair warning of the advent of the New Tomorrow's CXP world title reign... but all things in their due time. This week the undefeated champions will be properly dethroned and Can-X will know the name of it's greatest wrestler, the name of the man to headline the companies events... the name of the New Tomorrow Greyson Blaze...
As for Pat Gordon, I can't say I've been too impressed with his record and matches so far, but hey there's always this week to peek my interest, so don't blow it pal, this week we have the opportunity to guarantee future title shots and management favor. The opportunity to leave the kind of impression Starr only fantasies about! Of course, even if you drop the ball Gordon, I'll be there to carry our team; but of course I'm not a fool to think I can do it alone, after all this is a tag team match. So I can let you pull your own weight as well... if I have too!
(Starr had Greyson in a good mood, the knowledge of what he had done to Brett was already at work driving Greyson further into a plan to teach this upstart a few valuable lessons, lessons he wouldn't have any choice but to learn from. And taking out two champions in one night was just icing on the cake.)
