"It's a god damn shame, you know it?"
The voice was familiar to that of Scotty Addams. It wasn't any extravagant over the top scene, but just plain and simple standing in front of a black backdrop with the TJW logo over it, he was sporting a white version of the TJW shirt with a black logo on it, with a pair of denim shorts and a backwards black baseball cap and a water bottle in his hand. Scotty couldn't help but laugh for a moment, pacing around the area before stopping to look up at the camera.
[Scotty]: I mean really? REALLY? It's been almost two weeks since the show was announced and the only people to bother to show up and say anything are us and oh, what's his name... Pariah, that's it. And John Pariah because he's defending his belt against my man Drew. And yeah there's been what, maybe two others? It's a damn shame because when I'm gearing for the championship contendership I was expecting a challenge. I was expecting that when a world title is on the line people would actually give a damn. Whether you're a legend or you're not, whether you've held the belt before or not; the world heavyweight championship of a company is the single most prestigious item in its history, in its grasp and you just want to piss it away? See... people like my opponents, hell people even IN the god damn title match they piss me off. They piss me off because I've been standing by all damn week waiting for somebody to say something. And waiting... and waiting... and more waiting. But OH WAIT! Now I get told that Brett Starr is going to be showing up at some point. Well gee golly willickers batman, I would sure hope so since that world title is on the line but it's piss poor showmanship. Yeah I said it. It's garbage because somebody like Brett Starr doesn't care about that World championship yet I do. The Jokers... we're not here to destroy this company. We're here to take it over, make it a better place, make it a stronger place by eliminating the weak. This sport is all about the survival of the fittest... but yet somebody like Brett Starr gets handed a championship opportunity right at the belt and I have to earn contendership? What kind of a joke is this?!
Scotty took a drink from his water bottle but shook his head in disappointment.
[Scotty]: See, here's the thing. I've traveled the world... all three of us have. We've been on those main stages. We've sold out arenas and wrestled in front of thousands of people and for what? We went to some rinkeydink hole in the wall promotion down in Knoxville where they pat us on the top of the head and treat us like a bunch of special eds. So now we're invited here, all of our requirements are men by the office but these lazy people can't even bother to set up a camera and record themselves for crying out loud. I came to Canadian X to win. I came to Canadian X to beat some ass and win some gold and yet here I am, the one that seems to care more about the heavyweight championship than the people even involved in the match. So Brett Starr when you decide that you want to show up, like the figureheads are talking? You better keep one thing on your mind and understand that you're competing for the belt just to keep it warm for me because I'm coming to Canadian Classic Christmas to not just win, but to dominate, to destroy the opposition and move up that ladder to officially take what belongs to me. Oh I'm sure he'll be inclined to disagree, I'm sure they all will... but until the moment that they actually show up and decide to give a damn, they can't say a damn word. Two weeks for your chance to show up and you wait until now? And then you wonder why the Jokers are the hottest thing going. You sit back in your chairs and you bitch and you moan how you're not sure if you want to show up because you think we're getting special treatment. Nah... because we're not just letting things get handed to us. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if Frank decides to pull somebody off of the street so that he'll at least have an opponent show up for his damn match.
And it was the truth. So many people hadn't even bothered to say anything. Whether it be promo or twitter, or anything of that nature unless they were like John Pariah, showing up with a promo from another company, and you want to talk about disrespect? But that was why Drew was going to rip that belt from him. But as for Scotty...
[Scotty]: So where are ya Kessler? Where are ya Jackson? Too afraid to show up? Well let me tell you something loud and clear. I don't give a damn if your contract says part time. I don't give a damn what the hell you do outside of that ring but when you're billed to face me, you're on my time and when you're on my time I don't play games. I don't play this 'let's wait it out to see what happens' kind of bullshit. You have an opportunity, a chance of a lifetime in front of you and you're just going to piss it away? See that's what makes me so much better than the both of you. It's not just my ring talent, and it's not just because I'm better on this microphone than you could ever wish to be in your entire worthless lives... nah, it's because I actually care. I'm passionate about what I do, and so are Frank Washington, Drew Stevenson and Frankie Cocheese. All of us... ever single one, we care about that ring, we care about this business, hell we even care about this company and that's why we're taking over. So let me pose the question to you all... are you gonna fight back? Or are you just gonna let it happen? Are you going to be a man, Kessler? How about you, Jackson? Or how about Brett Starr, Pat Gordon Junior and Greyson Blaze? The main event and you can't bother to spit a few word out of your mouths for a few minutes? You're all pathetic. But ya know what? That's why we're here. That's why I'm going to win that contendership and that's why I might even decide to use that contendership tonight and take that heavyweight championship and definitely make it the night of The Jokers Wild. Aww... what's the matter? You don't think so? Than fuckin' prove it. Put your money where your mouth is. Quit running your mouths on twitter or from other promotions. Do something.
He paused for a moment shaking his head with a smile.
[Scotty]: In just four days, December Twenty Second, I'm going to walking to that ring in style, I'm going to have my brothers in arms backing me up in case any of you punks decide that you want to try and pull anything cheap and you're going to learn a hard lesson real quick that when you're facing Scotty Addams.. you're facing the best of the best. You're facing the 'Never Say Die' son of a bitch that it didn't MATTER how many over-grown pieces of trash tried to take me down... I kept getting back up. And I kept coming for more, and I won the war. I won the war because I know what I want... and when I want something I take it. See... I hope Jackson and Kessler show up... but I wouldn't be surprised if they're off working in some other no-name promotion while we're here putting Canadian X on the map just like it should be! I hope Gordon and Blaze and Starr show up so I can smack those smug looks off their face once I win my contendership because this isn't going to be your average match for contendership, oh no, this is going to be a mauling. This is going to be a sacrifice. It will be a sacrifice to that heavyweight championship that none of these other five men deserve. You want to talk about who the best in the business is, who the work horses are in that locker room, who's the brightest future, who's going to be the best of the best? All you've gotta do is look no further than the Jokers Wild. December Twenty Second, Canadian Classic Christmas, all the belts on the line! Who will prevail? Well all you need to know are three simple letters...
Tee... Jay... Dubya.
He took a drink from his water bottle before tossing it off to the side, getting closer to the camera.
[Scotty]: Four days... everybody better be ready 'cause it's looking like a Jokers Christmas to me.
Fade.
