Outside the window, snowflakes continued to fall in a steady gentle pattern, the wind blowing them around just a little bit. People scurried back and forth along the sidewalk, desperate to get out of the biting cold even if it was just for a minute or two. Cars zoomed back and forth, up and down the road outside of the hotel, a couple of horns blaring every so often when someone nearly spun out of control on the slippery road. Just another typical winter day here in Toronto. Gaze swiveling inward, you see some slight activity in the room, someone moving around back and forth in a hurried motion before settling on the bed, the glare from the TV filling the slightly darkened room. The person sitting on the bed just so happens to be Autumn Raven herself, one of the newer additions to the CanadianX roster. Fans might find it a bit odd to see her in the frozen north of Toronto, far from her native home in California, and even farther from her second home in Knoxville. A lot had happened since then, and she was still sitting around in a slight daze about it.
She shouldn’t be here, she should be there with everyone else. But apparently after all that had happened, after all of the madness, she was being tossed aside and forgotten like a useless piece of trash. After everything she had given them, this is how they treat her. She snorted, shaking her head a little. When things had died down a little, she was going to be making some angry phone calls down that way and asking for an explanation on things. But the good thing to come out of this was that she was somewhere else that would at least appreciate a good talent when they saw it. A few familiar faces had come along for the ride as well, so at least Autumn could breathe easy here and not have to feel like the odd fish out. She took a bite of the pizza that was sitting by her side, and continued to watch what was on TV, some old episode of American Pickers. The one face she had been looking for was Frankie. After the attempt to split them up, the man had simply…vanished. She didn’t know where to start looking, and no one could tell her where he had went or why. She shook her head lightly, letting out a sigh, content to pig out on some pizza for the time being and plot out her next course of action.
Take over the world one person at a time? Nah, too boring. Probably just do what she’d always done since day one, be dominant and an absolute nightmare for anyone that decided they were brave enough to step in the middle of that ring with her. Chelsea was going to have a lot to deal with in just a few days and she had better be damn well prepared for what was coming. Some little country girl from Iowa wanted to come into the big leagues and dance with her. She thought that was absolutely adorable.
”A new place, new faces, and a whole ‘nother adventure for me to embark on. I think I’m gonna like it here. I’m going to like it even more stepping in the ring with this slight of a girl called Chelsea. She thinks she can step out of Iowa, away from her hunting and whatever else she does down there, and come right to the big leagues? Do something big for herself? Hah, she’s got another think coming. I’ve done more in this business, seen more than she can count on one hand. We’ll see how good she is in that ring…or we’ll see what a fool she really is.”
She had some sparce contact with friends and family back home, pretty much giving them the rundown as to where she was and why she was there in the first place. She could still remember the frustration and anger in her voice as she tried to explain the whole situation as it stood. They were understanding, of course, as they always were, standing behind her in whatever she decided to do. She promised her family she would stay safe and keep in touch, oh and take pictures of the area since they had never been to this part of the world ever. Her friends had no way to take off of work and come and visit, and only made her promise to send them clips or whatever of the shows she did, if that was even possible. She had nodded her head and continued with the conversation until its eventual end. Her wrestling school teacher, the one person she seemed to have the most contact with was the last person she had to tell about this whole thing.
He would be understanding, but wanting her to take it easy for now and at least tie up the loose ends back in the states, if that was at all possible. Blarg, all these loose ends and not enough time to tie them all up. Such things would have to wait until later when she felt the time was right. For now it was just sit around in this little hotel room and stare at the TV until she had to be somewhere. Not exactly the most glamorous life, but it was hers and she was going to run with it. If all Chelsea knew was her hunting and whatever, and nothing of the business then she was in for a very rude awakening when they stepped in the ring. All she wanted to do was assert herself the same way she had been before, and continue on this path of hers wherever it was going to lead in the future. They could say all they wanted about her, but as she had shown in the past, she wasn’t going to let it affect her in anyway.
She was out for blood tonight.
”From one place to another, it seems. I don’t know what happened where I was, or why I seem to suddenly have become the ghost there. After all that I gave that place, this is how they treat me. Fuck, it just sucks you know? But enough about where I’ve come from, let’s talk about the here and now, where I’m at at this very moment. Traveling from my second home in Knoxville to the frozen north in Canada, I’ve come to Canadian X to do exactly what I did back in the UWL, and that is dominate and ruin everyone that I touch. I’ve had my ups and downs since my start but I take that whole ride in stride, take it as a lesson to learn from and improve from.
I am a former champion, I am what you should be looking forward to Chelsea. Such a little girl from a small place, who doesn’t seem to have a drop of wrestling ability in her. I mean, it seems you’d rather go out and do other things then actually focus on your match that you have. What are you waiting for, huh? Why haven’t you said anything? Are you that scared of me? Are you afraid of what’s going to happen to you in that ring, afraid I’m going to mess up that pretty face of yours, send you back home to your parents a distorted mess?
You should be. I’m not one of these run of the mill women that you can just step over, oh no. I’m something much worse. I take every risk in the book, take what’s coming to me and get back up and laugh, asking for more. Only because I want to push myself, and you to the very limit of our abilities just so we can give people a really good show. And that’s what I plan on, that this slight girl they’re putting in front of me is going to give me quite the time in the ring. I will put you through the ringer, I will destroy you and make sure you never ever doubt what I can do, ever.
Quote the Raven, forever more.”
