Madison boots Moxie out of the ring. Moxie falls next to Spyder. Spyder suddenly jumps on Moxie and quickly catches Moxie in the Web! (Koji Clutch) Moxie quickly begins flailing around. Moxie begins to tap erratically. Spyder doesn’t let go.
Clark: Moxie is tapping out! But the referee can’t count it since they’re on the outside!
Johnny, here's the thing. This is the digital age. There are cameras everywhere, especially pointed towards the action at a taped wrestling show. So before you decide to talk about what did or did not go into the history books, there's one thing you might want to do first.
Check the F'n video.
But you didn't do that, did you, Mox? No, you opened your mouth, same as you always do, without checking to see if you had a clue as to what you were talking about, which you didn't. Hey, can't blame you for not actually remembering, because as you yourself said, I'd caught you in one of the most painful holds you'd ever experienced, or that you ever will, for that matter. I know that something like that can mess with your head, almost as much as tapping out to a rookie performing in his very first match as a pro must have. But do you want to know the thing that's gonna keep you up every night between now and Medicine Hat, Mox?
You already know that I can do it again.
So please, Moxie... keep talking. Keep telling everyone how great you are. Keep telling everyone how much gold youve held and how successful you've been in every promotion you've ever worked for. Keep telling the world how great and how experienced and how skilled you are. I've been in two professional matches, Mox. I'm well trained, but as green as they get. But I'm still the guy who made you tap out, and I'm still the guy who's gonna do it again this week. Truth. The more you build yourself up before that happens, the better it's gonna look on my resume. So by all means, continue.
But don't try to rewrite history, Moxie. You tapped out, everyone in Halifax saw you tap out, and everyone who watches that clip of tape I provided earlier knows you tapped out. Hell, deep down, you know you tapped out. You know you were begging for somebody to come and save you. You know it's true.
And who was it that saved you? Madison. Because the fact of the matter is, Moxie, I was right where I wanted to be. I'd already awed the crowd when I'd used my body as a weapon and put all three of you through the barricade. Promise #1 delivered upon. But promise #2 was that I was gonna be the one to get you, Moxie. And I was. Nothing else mattered. I got you caught in The Web, outside the ring, and I had no intention of letting go. I wanted you unconscious, but before that happened, Madison polished off White and won the match. Now, you maintain that it was a rookie mistake on my part, that by locking you into The Web outside the ring, that I cost myself the match. But answer me this, Moxie: What did I really cost myself? I delivered on exactly what I told the fans I was going to do, and I did it without being eliminated from the Tournament.
And yeah, Madison won so he got to pick his opponent for this round. Johnny... do you really thing I didn't get the exact same honor? Think about the way I singled you out last week. Think about the fact that I locked you into The Web on the outside and refused to let go. There's a Spyder at the center of every web, Moxie, and you're caught in mine. Can-X had no choice but to book me against you this week after what happened last week, and I knew that would be the case.
And why wouldn't I pick you, Moxie? I already know that I can beat you.
Because I'm a better wrestler than you are. Period.
So deny that you tapped out one more time, Moxie. Do it. Everyone knows that you're lying, and not just about the final moments of that match, either. Maybe you were a great wrestler, once upon a time, but you don't have what it takes to beat me, not now, not in your prime, not ever.
You are going to lose. Know it. Learn to live with it.
Or don't. I really don't care either way.
But Johnny?
The next time you claim that you're coming out shooting? Make sure you're packing more than blanks.
